A Wedding DJ has usually had lots of experience with these kind of disco's. The first dance is always done by the bride and groom and the second accompanied by those who wish to join them.
One the main things to do for a wedding disco is to make sure all the song requests are pre written by the bride and groom, just make sure you have them in your collection. You also want to take note of the bride and grooms names.
Karaoke tends not to be done at wedding's unless requested.

Weddings always seem to be a largley mixed age group due to family, this can make difficult to get everyone dancing but the easy option is of course cheese.
Christmas DJ
These can be work related, family related or just an organised disco, typically at the start of the night christmas music is played and backround music if they are eating a meal.
These partys can be a wide age group mix, the songs can vary hugely but christmas music will always work!
These tend to be quite formal events and most guests dress that way, it is always wise to bring a suit to discos and then decide accordingly whether to wear it or not.
Christmas Disco
Karaoke is sometimes used at these kind of disco's especially after a few alcholic drink :).
Some people may come dressed up so it maybe a good idea to bring along a santa hat for good measure's.
People do get fed up with christmas songs however so dont just focus on christmas music.
Birthday DJ
Birthday disco's are probably one of most popular type of disco's they are done quite frequently through the younger years.
Popular birthdays after child years are 18th birthdays, 21st birthdays, 40th birthdays, 60th birthdays and more.
There are great diffrences in a childs birthday party and an adults, for one there is always more drinking at adults birthdays.
Most birthdays no matter the age are based mainly on cheese music to get the guests up and dancing.
Birthday Disco
Birthdays can sometimes be the hardest disco,s though, if you have an 18th birthday there with half teens and half 40's it can be aqward trying to get the right mix, its a lose lose situation sometimes, you play the newest RnB tune and adults moan and if you play some motown the teens moan.
Its all about finding the right type of music although alot of the times the teens will like motown Etc.
Prom DJ
Prom disco's usually mark the end of a term, year or just plain completion.
The main prom parties are end of school leavers, with a prom to mark the end organised by the school.
They are reasonably simple discos to do due to the fact that most are the same age group.
Karaoke DJ
These tend to be done more in pubs and clubs rather than at specific partys. The karaoke Dj usually has the latest music ready for you to sing along with the words scrolling accross a page.
Karaoke Disco
As karaoke does not pay over well for most, it usually only comes at an extra 10 pound cost so in some cases is not worth buying the music and equipment.
Childrens Party DJ
These can be some of the easiest disco's to do music is simple as there is a reasonably wide range of childrens music and dance songs.
If all does fail however you can play games with the children and these can drag for a fair amount of time it depends on how many there are.
Another thing to do for kids partys is to involve parents if they are their.
Childrens Party Disco
Usually in most childrens party's there is food served and the children take a break from dancing their socks off.
A childrens party tends to be reasonably short and finish early in the evening.
The party ages can range from 5 - 16 so be aware of what the party is and the age group.
Wedding Anniversary's DJ
Wedding Anniversary's, are similar disco's to weddings in the way that love songs tend to be the focus of the evening, The age groups are usually reasonably matched and usually consists mainly of the same age.
Wedding Anniversary Disco
Anniversary's discos are usually for couples who have made it 10, 20, 30 and so on years.
Some of the older generation enjoy celebrating their Wedding Anniversary towards the last years as its a great chance to get all the family and friends together.
